1st Thornhill Scout Group
1st Thornhill Scouts has had a very productive year back in our renewed home of Thornhill United Church. 60 members of 1st Thornhill kicked off the year at an all-sections camp at Camp Big Canoe near Bracebridge in late September. Scouts explored the Warsaw Caves near Peterborough in October, and had an urban hike through downtown Toronto in November. A trip through the Kortright Centre and the Kleinberg Gallery helped Scouts get in touch with their cultural side. A winter camp, scheduled for February is coming soon. Cubs have been to the David Dunlap Observatory, and will look forward to a Centennial Jamboree this summer. Beavers stay busy with crafts and outings, with special events for Hallowe’en and Remembrance Day. Venturers and Rovers use Thornhill United as a home base every other Wednesday for their activities.
The different groups meet in the church auditorium on the following nights and times;
